Dr Annemarie Christophersen divides her time between research and management tasks of the EU funded NERIES project (http://neries.knmi.nl).
She is responsible for the Transnational Access activity to ETHZ (www.seismo.ethz.ch/neries). Her research interests include
1) Time-varying earthquake hazard on timescales of days to years,
2) Earthquake model testing, and
3) Data consistency in earthquake catalogues.
Annemarie completed her PhD in 2000 at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand on the probability of aftershocks.
She worked in management consulting for a couple of years, and was self-employed as researcher and project manager for the last four years before coming to Zurich in August 2006. She maintains strong relationships with New Zealand with the aim to return and continue seismological research in her adopted hometown Wellington, New Zealand.
